As a software developing company,
Intro Solutions receives subsidies
offered by various institiutions
in Turkey.
1. METU Technopolis
Intro Solutions has a branch office
within the Technological Development
Zone at the Middle East Technical
University (www.metutech.metu.edu.tr).
The companies located in METU Technopolis
are selected on a competitive basis
with regard to their R&D activities.
A board of auditors monitor the
R&D activities of the companies.
Companies located in METU Technopolis
are encouraged to employ students,
researchers and academic personnel
of the university. Companies in
the Technological Development Zones
and their employees are exempt from
income and corporate tax.
2. Technology Development Foundation
of Turkey (TTGV)
TTGV (www.ttgv.org.tr)
is a non-governmental organization
with a special status that has undertaken
a national mission of fostering
the continuous and effective technology
development activities of companies
in the industrial sector. TTGV has
been implementing its programs through
the funds provided by The World
Bank. Within this framework, TTGV
supports "technological products
and process innovation" projects
of the industrial companies and
software companies.
With the "E-commerce Application
Framework for the Travel Industry"
project Intro solutions receives
financial support of the TTGV as
one of the 38 software projects
supported by TTGV since 1991. The
support agreement was signed in
August 2002.
3. Turkish Scientific and Technological
Development Institution (TUBITAK)
TUBITAK supports technological
development projects through its
Technology Monitoring and Development
Department (TIDEB). Intro Solutions
received a grant from TIDEB for
the "E-commerce Application Framework
for the Travel Industry" project.
The total contribution of these
financial supports reach 1 million
USD for the next two years which
is the duration of the supported
projects.
4. R&D Support for SME's
KOSGEB (Small and Medium Industry
Development Organisation) has been
established for the purpose of supporting
enterprises operating in various
branches of the manufacturing industry.
KOSGEB offers solutions to technical
and economic problems SMEs are faced
with both at and outside their work
places. KOSGEB also provides support
to these enterprises for the purposes
of attaining higher levels of quality,
technology and market opportunities.
Ultrasound Image Archival and Communication
System project of Intro Solutions
receives R&D support from KOSGEB.
